Building
-
The building is attractive, professional, and helps ease any remaining fears of "low-cost" services, thus changing the face of affordable spay/neuter.
The building is owned, not leased like our old facility, yet our monthly expenses have not greatly increased.
The space in the building has allowed us to add a second full-time vet, thus nearly doubling the number of spays/neuters we complete each year, and completing a minimum of 12,500 annually
The building allows us to increase our volunteer base by providing an office dedicated to volunteers and a space available for training volunteers.
The building provides a greatly needed space for board meetings, community outreach meetings and trainings (such as Trap-Neuter-Return), and volunteer orientations.
The building allows us a unique opportunity to reach new donors and re-engage past supporters in an exciting venture.
The building allows us to meet our most basic needs, which were not being met at our old facility. These basic needs include space for storage, a safe grassy area for walking the dogs in our care, ample parking to accommodate our clients, a professional waiting area, and modest private office space for our staff.
The building allows for future fundraising initiatives including a memorial garden.
The building is an important step toward realizing our vision of a community without homeless pets.
As Humane Ohio continues to grow, we will be helping almost twice as many animals and people, keeping more animals off the streets, and helping reduce the number of animals entering local shelters and rescue groups. We are also be able to partner with additional shelters and rescue groups throughout the region and offer them low-cost spay/neuter along with our transport service.
