Humane Ohio operates the Humane Ohio Pet Food Bank to provide pet food to pet parents in need and to people caring for free-roaming cats. Pet Supplies "Plus" has generously agreed to donate all broken and discontinued dog/cat food from its five Toledo area stores to Humane Ohio, and local Petco stores are donating regularly. There is a high demand for pet food and we welcome pet food donations from our supporters to help meet this demand.

Dry and wet dog and cat food can be dropped off at Humane Ohio during clinic hours Monday - Friday from 7:30 am - 3:30 pm (3131 Tremainsville, 43613) or in the pet food collection bins at all five area Pet Supplies "Plus" stores, Petco Monroe St. and Petco Holland.

If you would like to organize a pet food drive in your school, neighborhood, church or business, please e-mail marketing@humaneohio.org.

The pet food bank helps make sure that pets and free-roaming cats in our community do not go hungry; it helps pet parents keep their pets even in tough financial times; and it helps ensure that people do not have to share their own meal with their pets and sacrifice their own nutrition and hunger.

If you are in need of pet food: Stop by the Humane Ohio Pet Food Bank on Mondays between 10 am and 1 pm, or call 419-266-5607, x113. Please note that food will be provided ONCE A MONTH per household. Please download the pet food bank application and read all of the program terms on page three. If you are new to the pet food bank program, please print, complete and bring the application with you.
